Studying English abroad.
Nowadays, studying English abroad is very important to speak English but it is not so usual for us to go out of our country to study it, instead, we go to private lessons or to an academy. There are advantages and disadvantages but, which is the best option?
Firstly, in another country you can improve your pronunciation and in general your knowledge the language. It is very important because you will need English in the future to speak, not only to write letters or other documents. Living in an English speaking country, you need to use the language everyday and that way you will get more confidence. Moreover, you will get to know new cultures. For example, in London there are a lot of people from very different places like South Africa, China, Japan, Germany…
However, there are some drawbacks too. The main disadvantage is that you are in a strange country, with unknown people and far from your family. The first day you will feel alone, because you won’t know anybody, but afterwards, it will get better. Secondly, there you will find a different type of food and maybe you could even get ill if you are not used to it. With water there may be the same problem, and probably you should drink mineral water. Although, in my opinion the worst thing is to miss your friends and family.
In conclusion, I believe you should risk and travel to other country to learn more English. It is an opportunity that you can’t not think twice. If you miss your family, you can phone your home, but you can’t improve your pronunciation being here. Go out to know the new world which is waiting for you out there!
