Studying Abroad

My parents have offered me a chance to study abroad next year. I have told them that I need sometime to take a decision. Living and studying abroad is a serious thing so I have to consider the advantages and disadvantages of such decision well.
Firstly, it's a great oportunity to learn a new language at a good level. In addition you can live in a new country where the culture is different. So you can learn a lot about that place and make new friends. You can also visit museums and touristic places that you in other way wouldn't otherwise see. For all this, it seems to me that this experience will help me in the future. Knowing different languages is an important factor is looking for a job once you have finished your studies.
On the other hand, you have to leave your country, your family and friends. And of course your parents have to pay a lot of money for that chance. Although you have enough money to do it, you must consider that if you don't take advantage of the time you stay there it would be a waste of time and money. And perhaps you lose some friends in the time you stay abroad although nowadays communication is easier than in the past.
To sum up, I think that I'll take a bit more time before I answer my parents' offer. The possibility of learning a new language and living abroad is very exciting but on the other hand I would rather like to share some more time with my parents and friends.
Perhaps in a few years I'll decide to live abroad and go to foreign university.
